A lot of backyards have that one spot nobody knows what to do with. In this case, it was an old pond that had long stopped serving any real purpose. The liner was deteriorating, rocks were scattered around the edges, and the whole area had basically become dead space. The side of the property near the garage wasn't doing much either - just overgrown scrub, debris, and loose gravel going nowhere.

We came in and demo'd the pond completely. That meant pulling out the liner, clearing the stone surround, and hauling everything out so we could start fresh. Once the area was cleaned out, we brought in topsoil and graded the ground smooth and level - setting it up right so grass can actually take hold and establish properly. That kind of prep work matters a lot more than most people realize. Skip it and you end up with an uneven, patchy lawn down the road.

The side yard near the garage was a separate scope of work but made just as big of a difference. That whole corridor got cleared out and a fresh gravel parking surface was installed, giving the homeowner actual usable space for extra vehicles. Clean stone, properly spread, running right up to the garage apron. It's functional and low maintenance - exactly what that area needed.

Together, these two pieces of the job completely changed how the property works day to day. Instead of two problem spots the homeowner had to work around, both areas now pull their weight. That's really the point of good landscape installation - it's not just about looks, it's about making the property easier to live on.
