Neglected beds have a way of dragging down an otherwise nice yard. Old mulch breaks down, weeds creep in, and the whole thing starts looking tired and unfinished. A full cleanup followed by fresh mulch is one of the most effective ways to reset a property's appearance - and that's exactly what we tackled here.

We started with a thorough bed cleanup across the entire property. That means pulling debris, cutting back where needed, and getting the beds prepped so the new mulch has a clean surface to work with. Skipping that step is a mistake a lot of people make - laying new mulch over a messy bed just buries the problem.

Once the beds were cleaned out, we laid a fresh coat of Cherry Brown mulch throughout. The color is rich and bold without being overdone. It frames the plantings well, creates strong contrast against the green lawn, and gives everything a sharp, polished finish. The beds under the deck especially cleaned up nicely - the shrubs and groundcover plants pop against that deep brown color.

What we ended up with is a property that looks intentional. The tree rings, the border beds, the deck plantings - they all tie together now. That's what a consistent mulch color and clean edging does. It's a detail-oriented job, but the visual payoff is hard to argue with.

Whether it's one bed or the whole yard, the process matters. Clean first, then mulch. Get the edging right. Use a color that complements the plants and the house. We take that approach on every property we maintain, and the results speak for themselves.
