There's a certain point where a property just starts to look tired. The beds get overgrown, the mulch fades out, and the whole front of the house loses that clean, put-together feel. It's not that anything is broken - it just needs attention. That's exactly where we started on this one.
We cleaned out the beds, laid down fresh dark mulch across the front and side of the house, and added a new tree to anchor one of the corner beds. That last part matters more than people realize. A well-placed young tree gives the landscape a focal point and something to grow into over the years. It shifts the whole look from "maintained" to "designed."
The bed lines are what make fresh mulch really pop. A crisp edge between the lawn and the bed keeps everything looking intentional. Combined with the dark mulch contrast against the stone facade of this house, the finished result looks sharp - the kind of thing neighbors notice when they drive by.
Fresh mulch also does more than just look good. It holds moisture around your plant roots, keeps weeds down, and protects the soil through summer heat. It's one of those details that pays off both in appearance and in the long-term health of your landscape.
Beds like these don't need to be complicated to make a big difference. Sometimes it's just a cleanup, some fresh material, and one good plant addition. That's the kind of work we do - practical, clean, and built to last season after season.
