6-Foot White Vinyl Privacy Fence with Retaining Wall and Decorative Stone

This backyard had a lot going for it - a pool, outdoor seating, decent space. But without any real boundary, it felt open and exposed. No privacy. No definition. Just a yard that blended into the neighborhood. That's exactly the kind of problem we love solving.

We surrounded the entire backyard with a 6-foot white vinyl privacy fence. The panels run clean and consistent all the way around, and the posts are plumb and evenly spaced throughout. We also built in a matching gate with black hardware - it latches tight, swings smooth, and looks like it belongs there. That's the kind of detail that gets overlooked but makes a real difference when you're using the space every day.

Along the fence line next to the pool, we installed a decorative retaining wall using Oberfields Non-Tumbled Edington stone in Storm. Behind that wall, we filled the bed with Black Granite decorative stone. The contrast between the dark granite and the crisp white vinyl is sharp. And because it's stone - not mulch - there's nothing to replace year after year. That whole bed basically takes care of itself.

What you end up with is a backyard that actually feels finished. Enclosed, private, and put together from every angle. The fence creates a real sense of separation from the neighbors. The stone bed ties the fence line to the pool deck. Everything works together instead of just sitting next to each other.
